Practicing interiority, turning within, listening to oneself is vital to developing self-awareness. It seems to be the only path to owning how one processes all the exterior influences coming at us. I am often grumpy and irritable with others because I don’t acknowledge my needs. This week I made a conscious effort to voice those needs, wants, expectations and it was highly beneficial! I did what was asked of me to the best of my ability and didn’t react to the negativity and complaining of those I was helping. It was interesting to note how they soon stopped being negative when there was no response from me. I had done my part and it wasn’t my job to handle their emotions.

I love hearing this! You’re so spot on - it’s easy to get pulled into others emotions instead of honoring our own, well done👏🏼
